Here’s a slightly cheaper citizen EcoDrive watch. Of course it doesn’t come with as many features as the other ones but it still is a quality product. As most citizen watches, this canvas strap ecodrive watch is water resistant of up 3300 feet (100M). It is ecologically friendly and charges automatically when exposed to sunlight or indoor light. Has a durable military style canvas strap and a day/date calendar feature on the dial. The case is made entirely of stainless steel.

In the United States, Citizen is best known for its Eco-Drive range of watches. Eco-Drive watches use a battery recharged by a solar panel hidden under the watch face. In the rare and discontinued Eco-Drive Duo series, the solar power was supplemented by an automatic quartz power source. There was also an Eco-Drive Thermo model that exploited temperature differentials between the wearer’s skin temperature and ambient temperature to recharge the battery. However, the only Eco-Drive system currently described on the Citizen Watch Official Web Site is the one depending solely on light to recharge. The Eco-Drive feature is similar to the Tough Solar battery charging system used in G-Shock watches by Casio. All Citizen Eco-Drive models are made in Japan but may also be assembled in China.

Citizen Eco-Drive Watch

Here’s another ecologically friendly watch from citizen automatic. Why is it ecologically friendly? Because it recharges it self automatically with sunlight. You never ever have to worry about changing your battery because every time you are exposed to light, be it indoor light or sunlight, the watch will recharge itself. The maximum power reserve is 180 days and it will also warn you if you are running low on power. The average charging time of the watch is about 53 hours indoors, 17 hours outdoors during a cloudy day and 6 hours outdoors during a sunny day. It is also water resistant up to 200 meters (600 feet).

Seiko Divers Watch

Citizen is not the only respected watch brand so today I decided to review a seiko watch. It’s a divers automatic watch and costs about 180$ on amazon so it is much less expensive than the usual citizen diver watches. Of course the qulity is a bit worse but you still get the most for your buck. This one has a stainless steel case and bracelet, black dial, luminous hands and and hour markers and it is water resistent up to 200 meters. It uses japanese automatic movement and has a fold-over clasp with safety. There is a discount on that right now so you might want to check that out while it’s still available.

Citizen Automatic Divers Watch

Since some of citizen’s watches are too expensive to afford, here is a cheaper one. This is a citizen automatic 200 meter divers watch. It’s currently available on amazon.com which is probably the best place to buy watches due to their big discounts and free shipping. This watch has a steel case with a rubber strap and a steel buckle. It has the automatic 21 jewels movement so it does not require a battery since it recharges while you  wear it (With the movement of your wrist). It’s a great buy and I said before you can get it on amazon for under 200$.

Citizen does make great watches but they are not always cheap. This diving watch for example is water resistant to 1000 meters (3300 feet), the case is made out of solid titanium which makes the watch 50% lighter than the normal steel watches, it has a date function and it features a helium gas release making it suitable for deep-water diving. There are many other great features but there is just too much to say. The only bad thing about it is the price, which is about 1000 USD according to amazon. But even if the price is high, there are practically no other automatic diving watches which have so many function as this one for this price.
